Marilyn Monroe Piece
Painting Created, signed & completed January 2014. I made this piece because I'm a big fan of Marilyn's look. I wanted to add a different twist with the mixed background. I got the look I was hoping for. I was in a frustrated mood while painting this piece, so it may have added something to it. JJ Burner's Artist Statement:
I paint because I love to paint. It's my passion. I create as many different painting styles as I can on many different subjects and styles. I paint different genres so I keep growing in my craft.
My painting process is simple. I see something I like and paint it. Any thought or image/subject that has come to my mind I paint. For an example, I listen to a lot of music. So I listen and I paint, either the music artist's portrait or a subject in the song. Even paint the music, what I might think the music notes look like live and in color.
Painting helps me cope with everyday life. I'm free to do what I want with my paints. Painting keeps the passion in me alive. It feeds my needs and wants. Painting does truly fulfills my positive thoughts and energy. I have no fear, as I paint and the thought behind that is pure bliss.

JJ Burner's Bio:
JJ Burner was born Jennifer Werner in a small town in Southern Minnesota. JJ Burner made a life for herself in art. As a small child she had a passion for art. JJ’s outlet was her art, paintings. Drawings and Paintings were ways JJ expressed her feelings and emotions. JJ really took to paintings and drawings learning different techniques and what she enjoyed to make. She is a self taught artist working with mainly acrylic paints. She now sells her works of art. JJ opened a Business Indie Record Label Tragic Music Ent. with a co/owner in the music field and a business In art. Zealous Paintings LLC selling her paintings. She began selling her paintings at art shows and online galleries with the support of her family and friends and has been doing so ever since.
