"Daddy" By Artist JJ Burner
"Daddy"
Painting By Artist JJ Burner
I saw this image a lot in a short amount of time on almost all the social media platforms. When I first saw it, It was an impactful image. I see creativity along with nurturing. The way the infant is wrapped so snug, in his fathers hair. With fist up in an universal sign of a hungry infant. An interpretation for myself is hungry for knowledge, the growing baby. It was a positive warm comforting feeling and I wanted to paint it. I hesitated due to my tired state at the time. I almost put it off, then something inspired me to share that feeling with others. I happen to paint this piece during a crazy storm we were having in Minnesota. As I'm writing this it still here, yet it's half way through April. The mind trick alone on that can kill ambition if you fight for it hard enough. The size is 16x20 acrylic and metallic enamel paint used on a stretched canvas with both sides completely painted. Piece finished in April of 2018. I'm currently accepting commission work. Email me here at zealouspaintings@live.com to order your work of art. I also have more art available at the Online art gallery

Survive The Unknown Or Become It By Artist JJ Burner
“Survive The Unknown Or Become It” Painting Created, completed, and signed by Artist JJ Burner. This painting was inspired by an overwhelming feeling of survival in the world as a relentless fighter in the face of life challenges. Also bringing a reminder to self to have control over the temper and aggressive impulsive actions. The Lion to me is so soft looking yet so strong. The Red aura I created around the lion was to represent the grounding and ability to survive. I was in a very focused zone on this piece. I used Acrylic paint on a 16x20 Stretched canvas as of now this painting is for sale for $150 PayPal is accepted and shipping is available in the U.S for only 8.50 you may contact me here at my email zealouspaintings@live.com to purchase or inquire about your own special Commissioned piece. "Prince's Purple Rein" By Artist JJ Burner
"Prince's Purple Rein"Completed on Aug. 6th 2016. Acrylic paint on boxed canvas. I painted this piece for a Live painting event called Girard Presents: Emerging Artist at Uptown Art Fair at Calhoun Square. I enjoyed painting in public, having conversations with people about the late Great Prince. I heard so many stories about him and the way he touched peoples lives. It was great seeing all the people asking to pose and take pictures with this painting. I was honored people enjoyed the work and his presence will be truly missed here in Minnesota and world wide. This piece has many textures and colors of purple that I love. The best part to me on this piece is the white glow on the edge of him to represent his Light (glow). This painting is not available for sale at this time but, you are able to view it. Current Location is The Purple Room Studio Located 322 N. First Ave MPLS MN 55401 suite #301. Thank you For the support I appreciate everyone for it. "Drowning In The Bottle" By Artist JJ Burner of Zealous Paintings
Painting created, completed, and signed by Artist JJ Burner in June of 2016. This painting was inspired by an event that had taken place in my life. I was told I was a controlling person because I wanted someone close to me to quit their drinking. So with the frustration I had felt I created a painting of what I could see. I saw someone I loved and cared for drowning in alcohol, with no way out. The seal of the bottle is still intact. That was the alcohol's control, the addiction. Hearing constant excuses of almost and that was not my intent, I had the hand barely out of the alcohol reaching out as if to represent an"Almost" moment. The label on the alcohol is a symbol most recognize. I wanted to portray that as the alcohol saying "Fuck You"to the drinker and the loved ones of the drinker. In short that is where this piece came from why I created it. The important message behind this piece for me was no matter what I will not tolerate a person to drink and drive or be a witness to their destruction. The original has been sold. I do have 8x10 gloss prints available for only $5 Click here to email for purchase. Paypal Accepted. USPS for delivery.

"Dirty Bird" Painting By Artist JJ Burner of Zealous Paintings
"Dirty Bird"
This painting was completed in April of 2016. Acrylic on Canvas. I was a part of an art show called "Pancake and Booze" in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I wanted to have a fun, interesting conversation piece. Before I decided to paint this piece I was pondering on what type of feel I wanted. I needed to say something bold and real. I saw a photo of a female bent, flipping the bird and instantly knew that was the piece I wanted to paint. I knew others could put there own feeling in to the piece and portray their own meaning. I was in a good mood while I painting this too. Hope you enjoy it. This painting is available as a print and on merchandise CLICK HERE TO ORDER A print size 16x20 is only $35.38.
